No Mirrors Orchestra
Philosopher Alan Watts once said, “when we listen to music, we are not listening to the past, we are not listening to the future… we are listening to an expanded present.” The 21-piece No Mirrors Orchestra makes its second-ever appearance at the Music Frees All Festival, fusing afrobeat, pop, funk, and R&B influences into a dancing exploration. Performing mostly the original music of bandleader Miles Arntzen (EMEFE, Antibalas, Superhuman Happiness) and Jas Walton (EMEFE, Father Figures), this special performance will also feature a composition by Gabriel Garzon-Montano (Mokaad) and a Fela Kuti original lead by Amayo of Antibalas. The orchestra features 21 of the funkiest young musicians residing in New York City today, ranging from afrobeat all-stars to R&B heroes, all coming together in the name of love and happiness through the power of music.

Also featuring performances by:
Zongo Junction (afrobeat)
Xenia Rubinos (alternative pop)
Super Hi-Fi (afro-dub)
EMEFE HORNS (funk)
Gabriel Garzon-Montano (soul/funk)
Karikatura (latin soul)
Nickel and Dime OPS (live hip hop)
